(Note:  not all Awards had candidates)

It's that time of the year - time to take a few minutes to honor an outstanding volunteer!

Volunteers often assist overburdened staff and management in a wide variety of tasks, from extending public awareness of the inherent value of public broadcasting to the performance of routine station work. Through their dedication, creativity and passion, our volunteers are people who care about public broadcasting and are committed to their local community stations.

Today our volunteers are more important than ever. Say "Thank You" and nominate an exceptional volunteer, a community advocate, a volunteer-led project, and/or the coordinator of your volunteer program for one of the national awards offered by the National Friends of Public Broadcasting. Mail, email or fax your award nominations by April 15- all information can be found on the nomination forms.

Award Recipients will be recognized at the 2010 PBS Annual Meeting in Austin, TX May, 2010.
